do you have a spare saw to cut yourself out or is it a "manual" process

Pucker factor for sure! Glad you got ' em down

I will start from the bottom side until it starts getting a little sticky then getter from the top-side. Its really all feel! At times I will even cut a 1/3 through and move to the next cut until there is no more spring. Had some logs take a dozen or so reliever cuts.

If there is no danger of someone beating me to it, I like to let those wind downed oaks lay around a few years. They seem to settle and become more stable. I've been working on some monster oaks on our property for years. I've lost count of how many loads I've taken from them.

Be careful, if you want to come back out next time...

Yikes
Good job. Done safely!
Did anyone think "pixie sticks"

thats a nice size diameter for single splits in the nc30, send it my way

nice load of wood! Looks like that one tree is sprung really bad, watch out! Gotta love it when you pinch the bar, done it many times......

Nice score!!

Good work and it doesn't look too technical for cutting there. Getting the saw pinched? Who amongst us has never had this happen?

Seems like that July storm was really wide spread. We have lots of downed stuff to take care of this winter.

Nice wood and work.
