We came up with the idea 2 years ago to build a pvc frame to protect the windshield and create a steep pitch for heavy snows. Got the carpets cleaned yesterday, winterized the motor and freshly waxed it. Now waiting for the carpets to finish drying, armorall the seats, and bring out the heavy duty cover.

BOAT- Bust out another thousand is what they say, but I have found if you have full coverage insurance as I do ($ 140/yr) your good. I take good care if it, and do all the maintenance myself. I have nailed a stump and bent my trolling motor, and thats it. Covered. Sad to see it stored, but its woodstove time, and the bass will be biting in a few months! Be well:D

I built a 2x4 A frame for my boat in 2000 and have been reusing it since. I am on my third tarp though. I made it nice and tall so the snow would slide off.

Its always is kinda sad to put the boat the bed for the winter. At least it at about the same time the wood stove starts waking up.

awesome setup with the pvc pipe...I have a 24' aluminum flat with a 130 Evinrude sitting in the boat yard for 3 years without using...I'll use the pvc for sure...I used it for fishing and shrimping in LA...breaks my heart, so many good years we had...she's more mothballed than winterized...

Mine may actually be mothballed too. $4.00+/gallon gas kinda puts a damper on motor boating.
