' morning, all.

One of our members bought a " second hand " Harman Accentra FS, without any paper...

I'm thinking its burn pot is out of order. It's a full steel one, with a big hole onto the top  :

What do you thing about it, please ???

And few questions :

- is the new burn pot a " plug & play " one ?,
- when comed the new one ?
- what is the better one ?,
- what is the way to repare this one ?

Thanks a lot, from France ;)

PS : this member just used a metric offset ring wrenche like this to pull off the pot...

well, been selling harmans for 13 years.....never seen a situation where the flame guide was an integral part of the burn pot.....maybe either aftermarket or experimantal...., BUT the european harmans are different, at least electrically, possibly also mechanically. We, in the US, dont have these available to us. As Ive never seen this, maybe its new, but I dont think so....the units at least a year old, maybe more......the hole, where it is, would certainly AT LEAST be detrimental to the operation of the stove, possibly dangerous. Replace the burnpot, with the European alternative, or the US burnpot and flame guide (if it will fit!?)....The flame guide is removeable and replaceable....now Ive got to research this on Harman and see what the deal-io is!

Au Revoir!

Nice to read you.

I would try my hand in answering in French, Trefix, but man, 4 years of French a long time ago, a French-speaking girlfriend a long time ago, and I would absolutely butcher your language and embarrass myself. BTW, I LOVED Nice and Eze!

N'hésites pas à nous rendre visite sur notre tout petit forum, à l'occasion.

Et merci encore ;)

???

Not good at all!

I think so, too...

How long till the stove is needed? Have any idea how long till you can get new pot?

Well, it's not my stove...

I can go to the french dealer wenesday but I dont know if Gogra's got parts.

I was just thinking of how to fix short term

Hello.

A french dealer said that's the burn pot is an old Harman type... I'm waiting for more informations and I'll give you pics.

All parts available in France

A good stove with continued support, probably why there is a strong customer following here across the pond. Sometimes a bit opinionated:) We will want to see the stove under fire when you get it going.

Serial number : 23571.

???

2007, June (production date on the stove).

Hello.

Todays email from Cogra (extract) :

'Le numéro de série correspond bien à un poêle vendu en Octobre 2007. Le guide flamme semble en effet modifié et soudé sur le bruleur.'
'Serial number does fit with a stove sold in 2007 october. Flame guide realy may be modified and welded to the burn pot.' (poor translation, sorry... ).

No part number engraved on the burn pot, we're waiting for more informations from the french local dealer (wich is expected since 4 days, now... ).

Au revoir.

Bonjour, Monsoir Trefix!

I dont feel it would be very safe to run the stove without some rectification of the issue. Burnpot replacement, etc. Possibly get another burnpot? here in the US, our burnpots simply unbolt with 4 nuts. Of course, you would have to reattach the ignitor as well......I cannot see a detail on how the European models attach to the stove body....

Au Revoir!

From wath I could see on Harman's website, currently burnpot is exactly the same. Screws are note metrics but BSC and so on...

New bunrpots are available for Cogra's dealers, don't worry
