Think about it those pellets are made right in RI I dont think you know how lucky we are that all box stores arent filled with just those on Freight costs alone
Seekonk Lowes is loaded with just Infernos right now and HD Nations Choice

Now you might see why im buying all i can ;)

Nations choice are made in RI?

Yeah but are they logged and pelletized in RI?

Sweet. I was a bit worried about these, burning the first bag now, but knowing they are made locally helps. + they seem to be burning just fine.

Thx pell it

LOL. Quality web site they have there.

those 2 guys make huge money elsewhere they could care less about pellets

Wait a minute here. I have been burning since 99 and I have always seen a variety. Most were from away mills when I started because we didn't have but NEWP and the maker of the old stove chow as local mills. Yes local mills are getting more popular. But I still think we'll see a growing variety. Were too close to the other MA-NY-NJ-OH-PA. Not to mention that most mills don't have the capacity to cover the whole New England area all by themselves........ New England is probably the largest growing pellet consuming market. I personally don't think Inferno or Nations choice can handle the load of what we are using. Yeah, We may not see pellets from way far away Like Bear Mountains and such these days. But I also don't think there is a risk we only see local mills. There are also new mills from area's that are still considered close. We may see supplies of Okies limited, But big guns like VIRIDIS ENERGY INC would not have invested in a plant and then a new upgrade if this market looked slim. They just bring something in to help fill the void. Last season Platinum Fires and this season its Black Hills.

Yes the prices may climb(good reason to hoard), But we shoud be safe as far as an ample selection of pellets I'd say.

i was only refering to box stores Jay ie lowes HD that are right down the street from that mill
Tonight i was at lowes loads of GS for 209 also infernos 209 but GT were 260 Im assuming this is Freight charges that they are sick of eating
Another lowes i was at way north of here yesterday have dropped GT back to 209
My previous post was only assumptions and what makes sense to me business wise.
That guy purchasing IF it was me.... i dont care that you like GT better then Infernos i make a ton off infernos and they might not sell as fast but they sell ( im thinking like corporate here, not a mom and pop shop )
Dont get me wrong you are the pellet pro im a noob, im just ramblin with thoughts at times

oh btw a new pellet ( new to my eyes anyway ) hearthside from Baystate pellet in fitchburg ma 209 a ton

Lowes has GT's locked in(bags says Lowes yadda-yadda even). If Greene Team could fill every store with them they would. Don't think they give to much thought to frieght as a pellet dealer does. Same goes for HD with the FireSide Ultra's. If Energex/Premier(or who ever makes them) could fill every store's needs. They would probably have just that on the shelfs. Still going with not one mill can fill even the box store market. Just to much volume here in New England. These are their contract mills and probably get super deals from them AFAIK. The other stuff they need is probably brokered with an area distributor as needed. Pretty sure its a safe bet that GT's will be seen at one point or another at Lowes, Same goes for HD with FSU.

I won't even go the no one woud buy the Inferno's route. But it is a factor. Quality is what it is. Most will pass and move on down the road.

i understand what you're saying but i remember last year GT were hard to come by around here Heck you know i would have a ton if i foundem ;) inferno GS and North American took over lowes

I think it was more of a GT's mill could keep up with the demand. We had some fiber shortages last season and they aren't log to chip capable.

I thinx you will use any excuse to buy pellets! :p ::-) I'm gonna use this one, Got any others case it don't work with the Mrs? >>

mine says we can eat them if we run out of food ;sick

Baystate pellets are what's left of the company that went under in Fitchburg, the pellets were called the "perfect pellet" but were far from that they made infernos look good.

they were sold out of them names were all over them guess people saw a new pellet and got excited

So I've burned through two bags of nations choice..

Nope, not the hottest that's for sure. Ash seems to be there as well. But they will work just fine as a shoulder season pellet. With that thought I'm going to look for another ton of a higher end pellet to help us get through march.

On another note, when I pull these apart and look, they seem to have a consistency that is different than some of the other pellets I've burned. The pellet seems to have smaller particles that are almost like paper???? **shrug** overall not as bad as some have highlighted here, but still not a pellet I would burn in the Jan-March time frame.

i saw Perfect Pellet at the local aubochon today.i presume they are the same pellet as Hearthside being sold at lowes.lowes price is $209 for the Hearthside and aubochon is $219 for PP's
