Building inspector was here today and within 5 minutes had signed off on my install and was out the door.

Of course, the week I'd complete it is the week that it might even reach 70. Argh!!!! But, here's a pic of the install. I'll post a pic of the first burn as soon as I fire it up. Thanks for everyone's help in deciding on a stove and especially Mike, from Englander for all of his wisdom and assistance!!

Old man winter will be here soon enough. Major turn for MN coming this weekend. Congrats on your install.

Looks good! First one I've seen with the nickel? trim.

Lookin good ! Open the windows and fire her up. 70 deg is ok , lets all the paint curing odors out.

Nice install, enjoy your heat.

Yeah, never seen the Nickel on the PDV. Only on the PDVC.

Lookin Good ;)

Open the windows. "It's about to get hot in this joint" (BrotherBart)

wow that nickel trim does look good...wonder if i can replace my gold trim with
the nickel...

Congrats on the install....it looks great!

I agree with a couple of the above posters.....open a door and some windows and fire that stove up. Paint needs to cure and any manufacturing oils need to burn off. Run it on 5-5 for a couple of hours.

Enjoy the heat!

Very nice.

Dexter...tell me more

Is that offered thru Englander ?

thanks slvrblkk......

CT...here ya go....if this is what you're looking for:

Yep.... thats what I was referring to....

Any stove can be swapped from brass to nickel. Just gonna cost ya ;)

$214 without shipping. I just painted my black louver on my Classic Bay this year. I used a High temp Gold paint. Its not as shiny and as pretty as the Gold/Brass offered through Quadrafire (costs quite a bit). But for the $7 I have in it, it looks pretty good.

So a can a paint and a 3M pad to rough up the surface of the existing louvers, amd you're in there ;)

I love the brushed nickle look. So, when I ordered from AMFM, I asked Andy if they might have one with brushed nickel in the pipeline, and they did. I think it looks even better in person than it did in the photos!!!

Here are some photos of the first burn.
