Hello all, its been awhile..I had a new Avalon rainier Woodstove installed this past September and have been burnging it pretty much all the time. I like the stove, however, I wish that I had gone with the Olympic. There are a couple of things that are disappointing me with the rainier..First, I load it to the maz at 9pm when I goto bed and I ahve to get up at 2-3am to re-load it. Dont get me wrong, there are still coals in the stove but its not pumping out the heat. My house is about 1300sqft, very open concept and to say the least, not insulated as much as it should be. the second thing I do not like about it is that I seem to have to unload the ashes more often than I thought I would..
I burn hard maple and oak exclusively and its seasoned very well.
