Anybody know anything about these pellets? Douglas Fir for $300 a ton but I dont find any reviews of them. Im thinking about grabbing a ton for the cold stuff. Thanks

I'm wondering the same thing. Need two premium tons for the really cold weather. The lady at Robbins Garden told me to try these. Said they were very similar to the Blazers which are not available right now. I might grab a few bags to try. We picked up 5 bags each of LG Granules and La Crete yesterday at Roger's Farm & Garden Supply. LGs are in the stove right now. So far really good heat and very little ash, I like them better then the Spruce Points because it's less ash. Will try the La Cretes tonight. I know it's not very cold out but I have a picky stove so need to make sure it'll burn well before committing to tonnage. La Cretes is suppose to be comparable to Okies so we'll see. We also tried the Country Boy White Lightning this week. It burned extremely extremely clean with very very little ash. Too bad it didn't produce the heat I was hoping for in my stove. If the La Cretes doesn't work out, we'll try the Cubex next. Never thought I'll see the day of spending $300+ for a ton of pellets but I guess that day is here.

In my tests, the North Idaho Energy pellets burned slightly hotter and cleaner than the Blazers. But out here I can get Blazers for about $210/ton and the N. Idaho Energy were $260+/ton. So Blazers win on price in my neck of the woods.

I used them my first year. Thought I needed something super-premium. They burned so hot I had to open the front door a lot. Since then I've been buying pellets that don't heat as hot, don't cost as much, and don't force me to open the door in freezing temperatures. :) If you want a good hot pellet then these are for you.

Finally got around to testing these pellets. THEY ARE AWESOME IN MY STOVE! This is probably one of my favorite pellet if not the favorite. They had the nicest woody fresh smell. Not a lot of fines or dust in the bag. They are probably the hottest burning pellet (in my stove) I've come across and I've tried many brands in my short burning history. Not only does it burn super hot (just my standard test of putting my hands in front of the stove, couldn't hold it there for more then 10 secs burning on low) but there's barely any ash and my window completely clean after one day. Not even a streak to speak of. This is one of the hottest and cleanest burning pellet I've tried to date. Will go back tomorrow to pick up some more. They are slightly pricey but worth every extra dollar!

Thanks for the replys everyone. I may grab at least a ton just for the cold stuff

I use those. Here in Montana though they are about $200 a ton. Probably because we are less than 50 miles from one of their plants and they get their trees from around here.

I've burned these the last couple of years and plan to get more. They burn excellent in My Harman and a friend burns them in his Quadrafire also. A local store here in eastern WA has those and Lignetics for $174.00. The Lignetics produces a more clinkers in my stove. Overall they are the best pellets I've found around here and cheaper then some other brands.

Wow, awesome pellets for under $200? Jealous is truly an understatement! I don't suppose you would like to venture a guess on how much they are in the East Coast? $325/ton! Yep. And even at that price I would buy more but no room to store. You guys are lucky!

I have a problem with storage room too. 2 car garage with no cars in it and still not alot of room.
