Here is another one of those useless, time wasting posts that just had to be done. Do you name your stove and if so what is it and why?

I call my stove The Stove. As in, I need to clean The Stove, I need to fill The Stove. The Stove will start running soon. The Stove is keeping the house nice and warm..........etc

Same here except it's the PELLET stove. If the lady hears me say "I'm gonna clean the stove" she may get the wrong idea ; )

Good point about cleaning 'the stove'. Guess after 33 years of marriage and never once cleaning the cooking stove she knows better.

"The Buck Stove" and "The Little Hampton" My old wood hauler is named "Everette" after the original owner. My brother has one named "Ernie" We Hettinger boys name stuff. Now if ya look at Gamma Ray's wood stove named......"Chief".....now there is a great name for a stove  Smart women!;)

Harman, Bixby, and the Ford truck name is Old Gray Mare, always got me home

" Le Poêle " ( = the stove) or " le Harman " when I talk about it.

But during the first lighting after cleaning, I help it whith : " Allez, Pépère ! " (~ Come on, Grandpa ! ) :)

Au revoir.

I usually refer to it as 'the dirty groan' because it probably needs a cleaning :X

Well when refering to the Dinosaur I have in stove conversations, I offer little help on the new stoves, escept there exspensive.

PTDR

( " pété de rire " half slang for 'nearly died with laughter' )

Never named the stove myself but I think the wife named it Honey because when she gets near it she is always saying honey your hot
and I know she isn't talking to me.

Did not have one, but the first thing that came to my head is "grunt" as in a soldier that will do anything you say and not cry about it. Not pretty but gets the job done.

We call our stove, "Mr. Toasty" because it keeps us toasty warm......

I call mine "Paid for". I was thinking of calling it Obama, since he paid for most of it... Maybe I could call it Stovebama
