Tell me it aint so.Never thought I'd have a pet pellet stove with a name out looking for a Thermometer to check her temp.I was looking for a Cole-Parmer .Where is a good place to order one?Amazon shows the are out of them...Any other good brands?
Thanks

Any decent K-type Thermocouple will work.

Look on ebay? Or just search Amazon. Anything $40 or under will do.

I have a Cole Parmer. Works good. Very simple.

Just looked on eBay. The same model I have is less than $5 (I paid like $30 last year :()!! With .89¢ shipping!!!

Search Cole Parmer TM-902C K type thermocouple. Should come right up. Less than $6.00 shipped. I might buy another. Or three :)

Mind snapping a pic of how it's hooked up to the stove?

It's not "hooked up" per say.

The unit can go anywhere. It has about 5' of probe. Just put the tip 1" from the end of your heat exchanger.

I put double sided 3M sticky tape on the back of mine and then added magnets. So it sits on the front of the stove (not Hot where it sits/that's actually a door panel thats on hinges). I have yet to start burning my Rocky Mountains (new pellet for me), so it sits in the drawer for now. Plus the probe that it comes with is pretty cheap. Im ordering a better probe type.

Once its set-up. Leave it in the same spot to measure output. End of season, remove and place in drawer till next season (new pellet brands).

Yeah, we saw that. We've been living without one, so a few more weeks will be OK.

Thanks for the link. Just ordered one - that is a great price! But is it ACTUALLY cole parmer? The items in the ebay search results that are under $5 don't match your photo and don't actually have the Cole Parmer name or logo on them anywhere that I can see.

Oh well, they all probably come out of the same overseas factory anyways. Even if it's not super accurate it's hard to resist at $5.

Think these are "Amico". Whoever that is...

For $5 It cant hurt. Im.gonna compare when I get it. Even if it reads off (say 18°)? Thats still a baseline. Pellet A = X temp and Pellet B = X temp.

If its truly a Cole, it should come with a handy case/satchel to carry it in and a Calibration certificate.

We shall see........ :(
