Are BIS and Lennox exactly the same fireplaces?

Update first, my wife hated the look of the napoleon nz26... So that shot my idea down for a cheaper fireplace solution...

Anyway, she loves the Lennox Montecito (non estate model). It's more expensive but then again I guess you have to love the look of the fireplace since its usually the center piece of the room.

The BIS Tradition CE is assumed to be the same model... But is it EXACTLY the same? Are there any differences in accessories like blowers, venting, and are the specs exactly the same, like the heating BTU, log size...

I just wanna be sure because our dealer would rather order the Lennox, maybe they get a bigger cut I don't know.

I looked at these models several months back when I was trying to decide which to install in my home as well. From what I could tell, they are the same. 2.0 cubic ft firebox and 19" log capacity, 55,000 BTU output, etc. Lennox was more expensive, though. I ultimately decided to go with the FPX 36 Elite and so far, I have been very happy with the fireplace. A lot depends on how you will use the unit and exactly what you are trying to achieve. Here's a pic of the FPX that we installed.

Yes, the Montecito is made by Security, (BIS). I would see if there's a BIS dealer in the area and have a chat.
