Lost power while running Quad, now no auger or igniting, just a whirring sound

Quadrafire Castille Pellet stove was running when power was cut.
I plugged into generator and it seemed to work momentarily but it now will not feed pellets or ignite the pellets that I toss into it.
Is there another reset button inside? Unplugging doesn't do it

Thank you!!

First off, did you plug it into the generator before or after you started the generator?

Since it was burning when the power went off, it is very possible that your #3 overtemperature snap disk has tripped. It's located either on the auger tube or the side of the burn chamber. This one needs to be manually reset by pushing in the button between the two connectors. It could also be Snap disk #2, which is on the drop chute. My manual says this one will reset itself when it cools down. PLEASE unplug the stove before sticking your fingers in there! Check that and repost.

I LOVE YOU MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe so, I unplugged and pushed down on both of them a little harder than I had tried earlier, crossed my fingers replugged and turned up the heat and this time it engaged. To tell you the truth it really didn't feel like much when I pushed down but it did something :) Thanks again :)

ha ha ha!!!!!!!!!!!! Was it the snap disk? Glad to hear all is well!!!

Well, hopefully it ran through the night OK. It could be that it reset itself when it cooled down. Good luck.

The Castile has two thermo switches that guard against high heat related problems one is the burn back snap disc mounted on the drop tube this is the manual reset switch, the other is an automatic reset high limit switch.

It is a pain to reset the manual reset switches as they do not provide a good feedback. I can not reset my manual reset switch without using a screwdriver tip, fat fingers I guess.

Your manual reset shouldn't have tripped unless here were burning pellets in the drop chute, it was more likely that the auto reset thermostat override switch (I kid you not, that is what it is called in at least one Quad manual) cooled off enough to reset and allow a restart.

Look them up tj you'll split a gut laughing.

ETA: I just uploaded the verbiage about the #2 snap disc in one of the Castile maunals. It is a fuel delivery interrupt switch there.

It's one of those bad translations back and forth between English and Chinese I guess! :) We had a switch on a machine we got from France that was labeled Intercourse Start................ Everyone wanted that button.
