Our local distributer, Hubbards Farm has several to choose, what would you do?

Vermont Wood pellet - Softwood $290
Barefoot - $294
Dry Creek - $269
Inferno - $243 (I know, I know)
Maine Woods Hardwood - $254
New England Wood Pellet - $258
Turman - $292

x2. Any of those high end pellets will treat you right. The rest is shoulder stuff (some cant even be considered that) and can be scored much cheaper at a box store

The MWP are the best bang for the buck but I agree, you can get them much cheaper at a BB store. You have to take delivery into consideration too.

Try a few bags first.

MWP would be only thing I'd even consider on this list, considering the exorbitant prices that guy is charging. If free delivery was included, then I might think about the Dry Creek.

I agree w/ above posters.....go check the big box stores. Let us know what they have.

Drive to the nearest Lowes that has Somersets with a 10% movers discount in hand for $189.
Nice idea, if Lowes will honor it. Most of them are refusing, saying that the per ton price is the "contractors" price and they won't accept the coupon too.

Rumor has it also that Lowes will (or already did) stop putting those coupons in the post office movers pack.

they made it harder i guess and trackable putting a code in the packs and making you email for the coupon. if you use the same email/adress to get another you're denied i just did it last week
Yup,.. my first two coupons I got at the PO,... last one I got online,... all three got me 10% off Somersets. I know location is a consideration,... but paying nearly $100 more per ton??,... if your buying 2 or more tons,.. it might make sense to make the drive.

Also wanted to ad,... I know there arent a lot of Green Supreme fans on here,(I think it depends where and when you purchased them)... but I purchased two tons of them as a shoulder pellet, and they are cranking!,... almost as hot as the Somersets with MINIMAL ash yield.... $209 at any HD.

Nearest Lowes is carrying Inferno - $209. HD has Nations Choice or Green Supreme - $209. I already bought some GS for the shoulder but will need 2 more ton for winter. Actually the GS are burning quite good.

Well, remember, you have a very good multi-fueler, so it will burn anything. The question becomes, are they giving out good heat? If so, then you're all set for the shoulder season, but I'd still have my doubts when it gets really cold.

You may have to break down and spring for some of those other pellets you listed in your 1st post......if it were me, and I had to spend the extra $$, I'd go with the Vermonts or Turmans.

I would buy Inferno for $209 and mix it with okies. No clinker whatsoever and burns soooo nice n hot. Any nice softwood mixed with them will make them burn real nice.

Having this same problem... I started to get desperate.. and sent hubby to Lowe's for a ton of Green teams and ton of Green Supreme for now (going to get others for later) Just so mad that Lowes has GT for $275!! when I paid like 160 last year with coupons! Well Lowes doesn't have GS and didn't know when they would get them. So we got a ton of GT for now.... and then I saw a local deal has Maine's for $254... so we were going to get 3 tons of those. But now I see it may not be the best choice! Hmm... and Barefoots (my fav) are sold out and not taking orders!

However - they rang up GT's for $260 with 10% coupon - $234 - So it wasn't as bad as I thought

But - would you get the GT's at $234 or the MW at $254? (and yes I know there are better.. but budget is an issue! Unless there is another that's way better for a decent price in Eastern MA?)

thanks!
