Does someone have a clip of their T5 or T6 running low. This is my second season with this stove. I feel like I get pretty good burns, but by the way some people talk about their stoves, I should see different performance. When I shut down my stove there is still always a very active fire. I will get flames for about 3 hours or so, then coaling. I can load it up and 10 hrs later get a fire going again with little effort, but little or no heat coming from the stove at that time. Just looking to see if anyone has a video to see if mine is similar, or any other advice. My wood is ash that has been s/s for a year +.

Thanks

It sounds like you are doing pretty well, but I'll take a stab at some possible areas for improvement. The stack in your avatar looks like mostly smaller splits. Are these typical? If so, you should be able. to extend burn times with some larger pieces. Also, how are you loading the stove, E/W or N/S? North/South loading will give you quicker, hotter burns, but East/West will give you longer burntimes. How tightly do you pack the firebox? Try to eliminate air gaps between splits. to lengthen the burn.

What is the flue setup on the stove? How tall overall?

The avatar is just a generic one I got off here, not my wood pile, and actually the stuff I'm burning now is actually left over from last year so over 2 years old. My splits vary a lot in size, I made sure to leave some heafty one last year when I split. I actually think I am doing ok as well. It just seems like my fire is going pretty fast when shut down all the way. Maybe I need to experiment more with shutting down sooner. Flue is 18' from top of stove straight up. Loading usually N/S. Thanks for the thoughts BG!
