Its hard to imagine that 1/8" would cause me all this issue...but its the only thing i can see as well.

I am going to see if St. Croix is going to stand behind it before I go anywhere. I think its a warranty issue. The stove is only 3 years old and the warranty is against defects in workmanship....that is a workmanship issue to me and clearly a warranty repair. I wish I could get them to replace the 75 dollar auger motor that burned up the end of last season because of this very issue....but I wont hold my breath.

Larry Golden reviewed my photos and is going to send me a new auger under warranty. I should have it end of the week, beginning of next.

Does he want the old one shipped back ??????????? If not, I'd suggest trying to get it repaired, for a spare. If ya don't wanna bother with that, I might take it off your hands ......... Whatever, and good to know the factory is standing behind it........ Keep me posted on how it works out, please.............

By all means if Larry doesn't want the old one back I'd see about getting it fixed, doing a little early spare parts shopping hoss?
He didnt say if he wanted it shipped back or not, but for the time being i am going to hold on to it and probably see about getting it fixed....the auger itself is in pristine condition, no rust, pits, etc...so it makes sense if i can get it repaired for 30-40 bucks....i cant imagine what that part costs new if the auger motor is 75 bucks....probably 300.
Ok...so update on my auger. I talked with St. Croix, they said they had talked to my dealer, and everything was all set.......so i waited a week, called my dealer and no auger in sight.....remember i have an email from them saying everything was ALL SET.
So he called St. Croix and they had lost the fax on the original warranty so we refaxed and they shipped the auger. I got it on Friday, so 2 weeks later, and lo and behold its the wrong auger. The spiral on the old one is towards the bottom of the auger and the spiral on the new one is positioned towards the top of the auger. The one on the left is the new one and the one on the right is the old one....also attached is the picture when i slid it in the furnace...there is no auger showing in the opening and the old auger fills the opening...
grrr i am so frustrated right now i cant begin to explain...propane is damn expensive and no one seems to care except me.

Well I've always maintained that a good spare parts bin is called for when using a pellet burner.
I sympathize with you but saw it coming.
Get thee to a local machine shop they can fix that bad auger so it works.

I'd be P.O.'d too.. You have all the right to be.
Hopefully it will all work out in the end. I would let them know my dissatisfaction with there service and let them know of the money and services it cost you, while your expensive Pellet furnace was Off line.
