I was recently given a chainsaw that has been in its box in a garage for 25-30 yrs. I replaced a fuel line, cleaned the plug, added gas, and BAM! it started, and cuts! Im real surprised. Its a Craftsman 20 inch. What a find!

We have one basic rule: pics or it didn't happen, so lets see the beast. Action shots are best
Ok Coming soon ---one man one chaisaw, and a dream! I'm having camera issues, but in a day or so I'll post a video

Sweet! I have a couple craftsman saws to play with over the winter, too, what model is yours?

I was given a Craftsman 18" saw which is a great saw too.

Have old 16" craftsman.
Still runs. No brake, thumb oiler.

I have my dad's 14" McCullough Eager Beaver. It's at least 25 years old. The cord, bar and chain are the only things replaced. It's been stored for years at a time, the gas has never been drained for storage and never fails to start. I used it this week and it hums through the appropriate sized wood. I expect you'll have your 'new' craftsman for a looong time.
