I bought a house with this insert installed in the fireplace and I have a few of questions.

I only see one control for airflow. It seems to be on the intake side. All the wood stoves I've used, (all pre EPA) have two controls, one for intake and one on the post burn exhaust end.

What brand of stove is this? It says Traditions on the front, is that the brandF

Is there only one control here and is that common for inserts?

Also, the fan is getting a bit noisy so... how do I access it?

The stove lights easily and throws off good heat, I think it's a keeper :)

Thanks

I'm thinking Earth Stove wood stoves had a model by that name.

Wish I could tell you more.

I didn't think Earth did cast? That is one nice looking unit! Pull off the surround and slide the stove out and look on the back. good luck

What about the lack of a top flue control ?

Further investigation is required! I did take the top surround off to look for a control but found nothing.

there wouldn't be a flu control behind the surround. Slide the stove out and look on the back of it

OK, I finally got around to pulling out the stove.

What puzzles me is no flu control. Every wood stove I've ever used had a flu control of some type. It has some metal baffles in the fire box but I would expect that even if I did have a flu control. Is this uncommon in the insert stove world??

I need to replace the fan... or try to replace the bearings. Also, I haven't been able to find much info about this particular model online, any help would be appreciated.

TIA!!
