Hi Folks,

Saw this ad on CL and thought I'd ask if the wood could be ID'd. He's giving it for free, but my trailer has a blown out tire, so it would cost me ~80 bucks to fix it for this.

Is it worth rushing out to buy a tire in order to grab this before it it gone?

Thanks for any expert advice. I really need to get better at tree ID.

Maple of some sort? Hard to tell

Well you'll have to get the tire fixed anyways right?
If it's close by and you can access it easy get after it- looks like a back yard though.

There is plenty of dead leaves in the area that should help with the ID.

Gotta love the Milk jug mix can in that first pic:eek: Wonder how long it took to eat through that

Like Basod says you need to fix it anyway and he says he has more wood than whats pictured, Id go take a look.

I'd have to go with maple too, the white oak I'm used to around here is more of a "shaggy" type of bark, whiter too.
