I'm installing my first insert and I'm getting ready to prepare the block-off plate. All the pics that I have seen online show an uninsulated liner sticking out through the block-off plate. I am using wrap insulation on my liner and the directions say to insulate the entire liner, right down to the connector. Does it make a difference whether the liner section between the insert and the block-off plate is insulated or not?

No, will make no difference to write home about.

No problemo, be safe, and enjoy the warmth.

Both my liners have a wrap, and both end right at the block-off plate. The 3" of liner protruding down thru the plate is not wrapped.
