The group is saying good things about Cheat Rivers. I'd at least pick up a few bags to try. Power House and Chow are pretty close.

Cheat River gets my vote!

Never heard of Premium wood heat so no comment!

ok so heres what i got on picking pellets......
  1. find out how its burning for others r
  2. buy a bag or three and burn through your stove
  3. buying next years pellets in spring
  4. ANYTHING ANYONE CARES TO ADD

I currently ran Stove Chow and Cheat River back to back and didnt notice a difference between the two except that the rivers had a few long pellets in there. Heat and ash were about the same. Havent burned any of the other pellets in your list.

A good tip to add is to try just about every pellet brand you can find in your area. Gives you a clue on them ahead of time as they just might be next seasons deal.

I went with the powerhouse Pellets. It was only a 6 mile drive for me. I have used the stove chow and have been pretty happy with them in the past. They seemed better to me in 2010 compared to the stove chow from 2011, but still pretty good. I am planning on taking your advice and picking up a few other brands this year to try out. Thanks for the help. I used my truck load handler to move the pellets off my truck to the wheelbarrow and it worked great. I don't like driving with the whole ton stacked because it is not balanced properly on my truck. So with help from the dealer we loaded the pellets on the loadhandler tarp rather then just putting on the loaded pallet. Thanks for your help. See the link if your interested.
