Hi... My new(20 yr old) insert came with firebricks but I can't for the life of me figure out the pattern for installing them. Is it important that they are installed "properly" or is it OK to have some areas that have no brick? It's driving me freakin' crazy!

TIA

I'm pretty sure they are original. You can see the patterns of some of them burned onto parts of the stove and they are the same size. There's just not enough shadows left for all/most of them. I bought it from a private seller and he was using it to heat his house so I would think they are original.

are they mostly the same size? This will be difficult without the plan. You might end up buying some new ones and cutting them to fit. You might as the person you bought it from to come over and help.
