This Kid is doing all the research for us. To bad I can't get those west coast pellets and try them against our East coast pellets

I did have a support plate crack on my stove from heat expansion last year. But it must have been a bad chunk o' steel.

There is a company called "Wood Pellet Company" from down in Pennsylvania. Its a premium hardwood pellet. As your friend where he got it...although I think I already know :cheese:

And GVA, you CAN get West Coast pellets NOW. Either Quality or New England Canadian Premium are both western softwood premiums. Im burning the Quality right now at my place....so far so good, especially at $219/ton. I just happen to know of a dealertoo......

Wait a minute my Ne canadian pellets say premium hardwood pellets. Is there a softwood canadian too?
I know that these are shipped by railcar then bagged down in Palmer, And they are burning pretty good also, The addition of the corn starch is helping with my clinker buildup too.
Now if you weren't 90 miles away I 'd be there this weekend to get the other pellets................

No, Ice, I dont think they are any better than most other premium pellets, and their packaging stinks....bad shrink wrap, poor covers, the worst skids in the world, and they deliver in BOX TRAILERS! UGH!. As for your friend who says it burns so hot, its most likely the thin guage steel of his stove thats warping with the heat. As I said before, I burn them all. I think Im almost out of those nuclear Wood Pellet Co pellets, but might still have a skid or two hanging around....gotta be careful with them, the EPA gets nervous, the NRC keeps calling asking if they are still here, and now Im afraid terrorists will nab what I have left for some nefarious activity!
Currently, at home Im burning Quality. SO FAR, it seems as good as all the hardwoods, but the winter is young. I dont honestly think theres a big difference in premium pellets, well, except for those nuclear ones anyways.

The Canadians are from out west, western Canada, and are fir and pine. Last time I checked, fir was a softwood.

Right next to Mcdonalds, traveling South on 5? Actually around 12 miles. We do a fair amount of deliveries in there. LOL...one might even be your neighbor....forget the name, but its not far off Sumner ave....this is gonna bother me....Primrose Drive? Deepwoods? grrrr.....now I dont remember!

I burned a ton of wood pellet co pellets between last spring and this fall. I am currently burning Armstrong (canadian)pellets. I am not to satisfied. When unloading, there was a lot of wet bags.I have been trying to set my p68 to the most efficient settings,but these pellets are too unreliable. This is my first year with a pellet stove, and i am trying to learn how to use it. I still have a ton of the wood pellet co. pellets, but after reading this post I am leery to burn them. Around here the pellet supply is pretty weak and i dont have much to choose from.

That p68 will burn those pellets, no problem...the englanders are a much lighter-duty stove, lighter gauge steel, etc. The exterior of the bag can be wet, but if the pellets themselves get wet, youve got problems....if they swell up, forget it...problem city.

I dont live there......but not far, really. For all of you who dont know, Bookends is an *ahem* adult establishment in Enfield, CT, specializing in all kinds of adult attire, um, paraphernalia, and its a real pornocopeia (hehe) of all that kinda stuff. I think Craig told me about it. Heck, yea, if they wanted to buy pellets or a stove, Id deliver there! But as for a stove, its kinda out of my service area, so id have to reccommend my competition for that.

I have a question regarding the Wood Pellet Co. brand of premium pellets. I just picked up a load of them today. There is absolutely no content information on the bag. Nothing about ash, Ca, etc. Is this normal?

Nobody's got an answer for this Q? I thought all pellet bags would list the specs of their pellets. Wood Pellet Co., 'premium' pellets doesn't show ash, fines, btu, Ca. Nothing. What's up with that?
