Well...I've decided to sell my home here on Long Island and move to Central PA. It's just gotten to expensive to live here on Long Island. I'm moving in about a month or so and can't bring my Harman Accentra Insert :-( It's been a very hard decision for me and my family and the heart breaking part is I'm leaving all my fiends and relatives. The bummer is I don't have a fireplace in my PA home so I can't bring the pellet stove. I'll probably be back into pellet burning in a year or so (let's see how long I can hold out). But that will need to be a freestanding stove. I've enjoyed the entire pellet burning community and friends I've made on the forum. I've listed my stove on the For Sale Forum if you know anyone interested in picking up a really well kept Harman Accentra Insert. Thanks Everyone!

Hey, remember we are all just a click away. Good luck with the move and I hope things go smoothly. Moving can bring on a lot of great changes. Get settled in and get yourself another stove. Merry Christmas!

Welcome to Central PA LIPelletpig! You can definitely use a pellet stove down here so no worries mate! I want to buy a Harman insert but it'll have to wait till next year. Just bought a P43 this year and love it! My daughter-in-law is originally from L.I. They live in York. I'm further west.

Welcome to central PA. Dont worry there is no shortage of Harmans in the area. You will be burning in no time.

Don't be a stranger.Come on down to Tennessee, its lonely down here. You say pellet stove and they say,WHATS THAT.Oh yes,we don't have a state income tax.....

Welcome to central PA, at least PA ain't a socialist republic yet like NY yet, getting there though. Lmao

You can always stay connected to the community here...nobody's gonna come check to see whether or not you're burning pellets before granting access to the forums. ;lol Good luck with the move, I know it's a whole lot of work & hassle. Rick

You can't bring your insert, but you can always get a stand a lone, you'll be back,,,lol...best wishes in your move.

Do me a favor and count the number or road kill deer you see on your way to central PA. I usually see about one every two miles. Deer are thicker than mosquitos down there.

Welcome to PA !! good luck with the move. Once a pellet pig always a pellet pig:).

And sometimes they look like squished mosquitoes just a red streak on the highway :). Ask me how I know.

Thinking of moving to PA myself. Jersey is also pretty darn expensive! Good luck on your move

Yes welcome to PA, you will need a nice comfy heating source. Where you moving to or close to citywise?

Thanks for all the kind replies and support. I'm moving to the Silver Springs area. It's about 4 hours from Long Island. That's always dependent on traffic out of the NY Metro area which I am sure not going to miss!!

I'm envious man. If it weren't for my wife's family ( whom I actually like==c), we would have been out of LI years and years ago. I probably could've bought more than my scant 1/4 acre out there. Woodburners need the room.

Congratulations and good luck.

Another one bites the dust. Sorry to hear you're leaving us here on the island. So many times I ask myself why i stay here . The cost of living has always been high but it seems the last few years it's gotten worse. Good luck and remember the pellets are way cheaper in Pa. Not the the gouging that goes on here.
