Envirofire EF2 does not seem to be efficient.

Is last night the first time you burned the stove? " it seems to be ok" Does this mean you burned it before and it worked for a period of time?

Read the manual and look up daily maintenance.

Check for air leaks

Do some research on this site and I bet you will find the answers.

I've recently seen two friends buy a used pellets stove. In both cases, the previous owner let the stove get dirtier than I've ever seen a pellet stove get, get frustrated, and then sell it. My novice guess is you probably still have a little cleaning to do.

What pellets are you using?? How far do you have the air open? Hook up a leaf blower to it and make sure you get it good and clean...

When I use crappy pellets like, instant heat, the pellets build up in mine.. If I use barefoot / sommersets it does fine. Also try turning the heat dial back a hair, dont go full bore...

IMO Junk pellets. I used them briefly and had high ash in one to two days with little to no heat. Pics of you setup might help including your vent setup. So many variables when talking about airflow.

NOOOOOOOO It's okay, pellets can be junk one year and great the next. Always try a few bags first before buying in bulk. All kinds of pellet reviews and charts on this site to help you decide.

I believe that Enviro has some high ash burn pots or liners.

But first tell us about your vent system in detail and if anything else was running in the garage (I'll forgo the warning about solid fuel burning devices in garages.)

Along with after having installed new gaskets and adjusting the door if needed, did you retest them after your first long burn.

It sounds like you might have a bit of a issue with combustion air when the stove is burning on high which is where a differential air pressure gage (Magnahelic , Dwyer) is used to set the damper. Enviro usually outlines the procedure and the acceptable values in their installation manual.

Mags can be found at grainger.com among other places.

Before dumping the pellets listen to what Smokey is tell you. Smokey is seasoned and a wise Bear. Learn to use the search function on here it can save you loads of time.

The "vent" is your exhaust piping, not the air intake, and obviously has to go outside.

There might be the issue, the vent. Remove the vertical portion. NFPA211 says no solid fuel appliance in a garage.

Too much draft from the long vertical rise...

See post #19. Many stoves work well with only 3 feet of rise.
You maybe able to adjust the damper to help.

You should not need all that pipe. Disconnect it and see what happens. If it is due to the venting them BINGO! If not then you still have an issue.

you are going to want to check the ash pan gasket too. enviro has a flaw in that the ash pan area is "OPEN" to the combustion area. Air that leaks in around the bottom by-passes the combustion zone and skews out your 35/1 air to fuel ratio. Very common problem with any EF series stove
