Repair horror stories. Samsung has a habit of making the same machine ( appliances, TVs, what ever) in different factories, which are indicated in the repair "suffix" of each unit. Different factories use different parts, even if the base model number is the same.

I'm just not a fan of the company, period.

I have the Kenmore version of your washer and I have repaired it a couple of times over the years.

If you take off the lower panel there should be a manual taped to the inside bottom right that is there for the repair tech. It shows all of the error codes and troubleshooting steps.

My machine is starting to throw the "F11" code which is communication errors between the computer and the motor controller. The fix for it is to remove and install a couple new relays in the control board. I have them on order and cannot wait until they get here!

Mine to died a few months ago. It must have been 15 or more old years old Kenmore. As I moved it I found a pile of grease from the gear box under it. I was done!!

We didn't know but there was a big change in the new machines. No agitator. The upright she got is huge capacity, almost silent and clothes come out almost dry. Dryer time was 1/3 less. Also they claim the clothes are less damaged. So if it's time thak a look at the new ones.

Dang it Jake, you jinxed me. I got the f21 code this morning which comes after you get the suds code for 4 minutes. The f21 just means that the pump couldn't pump the tub dry in 8 minutes and that you have a clog (99%) or a TU pump. As usual, I drained the 2 gallons of liquid and pulled the pump inlet screen. One kid sock, some unrecognizable underwear looking thing hopefully from the wife, and then lint behind these things. A few bobby pins out as well and I am back in business. Good for another few months.

I have been going here for well over 10 years to keep my old Maytag junk going. Dan O is a genius at over the net diagnosis. Just make to be as clear as possible with your question and include the model, yr and SN if you have all of it visible on your data plate. He has helped me more than I can describe with such things. I can't recommend this place enough. Their parts are a tad more than can be had elsewhere on the net but for the help they can't be beat including the bone head stuff like how to open the case. Not many of the machines are straight forward in that respect.
