The stove is about 4 years old. The fan has stopped working when it is burning pellets, but will come on when the stove is switched off. Everything else still works fine. Any ideas-do I need a new circuit board? I am talking about the fan/blower that blows the heat out of the stove- not the exahaust fan or blower. Thanks!

Need more info....when was the last full cleaning (not just vacuuming out the firebox). If stove is dirty, the built-up ash can act as an insulator and shield the Proof of Fire sensor....stove doesn't see enough heat to turn convection blower on during firing, but does so automatically on shut down to help cool the stove.

The dealer advised me to try bypassing the snap disc. I did that and the fan runs when the stove is switched on. Is that the problem then?

I would say yes. The convection snap disc turns on the blower when the stove gets up to temp. You took the switch out of the loop and it works.

I'd give that blower a good cleaning also while you are getting a new snap disc.
