3M high heat tape

Just curious what you all think, does this tape stink until the glue is burned off or cured I guess I would say. I use to work in the hvac industry and used this tape all the time on the stove pipe of boilers, and If my memory serves me correctly II think it had a little smell for a little while. Anyway I have it wrapped around the exhaust flange gasket on my stove, and I smell no smoke, just a barely faint chemical smell from the heat exchanger tubes.

I was just wondering. As many of you know I have struggled with exhaust smells from this stove. I taped the exhaust flange, and I notice no more smoke smell from the stove. What is getting me and a family number now Is like a faint chemical smell. Almost like it burns my nose if you get up close to the heat exchanger. The carbon monoxiide detector is not reading anything, So I know I am good there. So thanks for the response guys. I just picked up some power house pellets, that smell alot better, so maybe once I switch the pellets, maybe that smell will go away. I just worry about her with her asthma. I know the tape is rated for 600 degrees, the exhaust flange I would think would not reach 600 degrees, but I maybe wrong. I just notice her coughing alot, so I know something is still not right.
