Minister of Fire
After seeing all the post about the same problem in the past few days, loss of vacuum shutting down the auger I am making this post.

Things needed, a Heatilator stove, a dollar bill, and 9/16" wrench, WD-40 or similar, and one cold Yuengling Light Lager.

First turn the stove off and let the door cool to the touch. Open the door (turn handle counter clockwise) I know your digital clock can not help you so let say "lefty loosy-righty tighty".

Fold dollar bill in half length wise that is make the fold running down the long side of the bill. Insert said bill into the door and close it moving the handle back to the right (that is the direction toward the shoe your mom put an "R" on. Move handle till it stops and now attempt to pull the dollar bill from the OUTSIDE of the stove. Do this test all around the door. If it slides without resistance you need to tighten the door handle.

If the bill slides out then remove the nut off the inside of the door's handle. It is best to spray it with some WD40 and let it sit for a few minutes. Again lefty loosy and righty tighty. There are some washers in the handle so switch them to the back side of the lug or add more washers if still loose. Re assemble but do not over tighten the nut or the handle will not turn.

Can I make this any easier???? Lets add pictures.

Now drink the Yuengling and watch the fire.

Eric

dont use a $20 if you tear it youll be pissed

And don't start a fire with the bill still in the stove. Of course some of our leaders would disagree cause all you gotta do is print some more.

What do we do if it still comes out with ease? We tried "fluffing" the gasket.

If you swapped the existing washer as per Eric's recommendation above, and the dollar still slides out fairly easily, then add another washer or 2 to the backside of the lug....this will tighten the door against the stove. Try adding one at a time until the dollar can't be pulled out w/o tearing it.

Short of that, replace the gasket.
