I appreciate what you're saying. I plan on staying home tonight out of harm's way. And I'm not talking about harm to myself.

I consider it community service.

One thing I liked about the old stove. I could load and set that sucker for a night load when I couldn't find the stairs. ;lol

If I'm too far in the bag to handle the stove properly, I figure she's already pissed at me, might as well wake up to a cold house too.

Happy New Year

Almost new years for you folks. We still haven't had dinner!

Instead of asking for clarification I think I'll just post a like to that.
I understand.

I can't resist. So did she take your hatchet away for the evening or have you buried it?

She's probably sleeping with it, I'll take the couch just in case ..;)

I loaded our stove pre-scotch a few hours ago. It's still kickin out heat but already know it will need a refill before we eventually go to bed. We usually stay home New Year's Eve as there are a lot of tourist trap bars in the area and more than once have we had to call paramedics to report an accident near our house. I'd rather drink/eat at home then get hit trying to come back by a drunk driver!
However, this is our first new year's eve at home with the stove and didn't think it out before the drinking began. I'm still managing to type ok, just watching the Twilight Zone marathon waiting to switch channels to watch the ball drop. If the scotch goes to my head and loading the stove looks hazardous, we have a furnace that will kick on at 62! My hubby's drinking sloe gin fizzes, not sure who's safer at this point to tend the stove again ;)

In keeping with the thread title I will quote a member from a few years ago.

"You mean to tell me people do this sober?"

Sounds a trifle dodgy. I'd go with the furnace for one night, assuming that's all copasetic and ready to roll.

Keeping it even tonight. One scotch, one guavaberry liqueur, trying not to badly undo all the recent weight loss. Trouble is I found a stash of Recchiuti Ashphalt jungle mix and Burnt Caramel almonds, which I have been authorized by the boss lady to partake of. Dang! can't.eat.just.one.

Well Happy New Year All, just a few minutes away.

Dang, haven't thought of those in a while.
Yeah, we went retro this year buying the alcohol, Boone Farm and Andre Cold Duck too ;)
