Well after making noise for a couple of months my distribution fan on my 2006 Accentra insert finally died. I thoroughly cleaned it but it only runs for a bout a half hour and then locks up.

Anyway, new fan should be getting here today. I've seen some seen some comments on retailers websites that the new 2 wire Harman fan might have to modified to fit in an older stove like mine with a four wire system. I've searched all over online for instructions on what's involved but haven't found anything. Can anyone shed some light? hopefully it comes with instructions but if it doesn't I'd like to get it up and running ASAP.

Thanks

Actually, even though there are four wires coming from the fan, only two are hooked up. No problem there, but how on earth do you install this fan?

It doesn't look physically possible to do it form the bottom. Do I have to remove the whole auger feed mechanism and the hopper and do it from the top? Any pointers would be appreciated.

Thanks

do it from the bottom but leave the "squirrel cage" in place, just replace the motor with the 3 arms on it.

That never occurred to me, a lot better than the alternative I was considering. Thanks a lot, we just enjoyed dinner in front of the pellet stove. We've really missed it over the past week and a half.
