55-TRP-10 Thermostat Issues

Hooked up the thermostat to my 55-TRP-10 today with less than stellar results. Actually, there was no change in operation with or without the thermostat.

The thermostat test shows the unit can see the thermostat calling for heat. The jumper on the controller was removed to install the thermostat wires.

Changing the setting on the thermostat does not cause any changes in the operation of the stove, I even waited to see if it takes a little while.

Stove was set for 9-9 and I was expecting it to drop the burn rate and room blower down with no call for heat.

Any suggestions?

That would explain no obvious changes - not a very good way to program it though.

I seriously doubt the programmers could not fit the code to swap between 1-1 and the user settings on thermostat call for heat.

Flame modulates as a norm so no huge change noticed

Gave it another good observation now that the stove is good and hot.
When the thermostat calls for heat, the combustion blower seems to speed up immediately causing the pellets in the burn pot to quickly burn to coals before the augers can catch up. After a few minutes, the augers catch up and the flame stabilizes at the higher rate.

Needed both an education on how it is supposed to work and a little patience to let it actually work

Would like to have the convection blower drop speed when the thermostat stops calling for heat. I wonder if Mike would get me the source if I signed an NDA (free developement) to fix this...
