Has anyone replaced the insulation that sits on the sides of the baffle? It looks like the stuff is not sold separate from the baffle, and I don't need a new baffle, but the white insulation material is pretty ripped up and degraded. What could I use and where could I get it? Many thanks for your thoughts.

Looks like cut lengths of kaowool blanket. Did you check with the dealer?

I got the insulation from the dealer and also added some on top of my baffel, it did not come with it, I get a terrific secondary burn. Tim

Oh, I might add, it is not pe supplied, just generic by the foot. Cheap. Tim

check ebay

on 6th season here, original insulation. not like new, but does the job.

Thanks to all. Dealer that is affiliated with regional distributor checked local dealers for me and no one has the part(s) in stock. Will take the distributor 4 weeks to get it in. Checked online and looks like I can get 2 square feet of kaowool for $10-$12 dollare plus shipping, then cut it into strips. I'll probably do that since I want to pull the baffle to do another mid-season stack cleaning in a couple of weeks and replace the insulation then. Never get more than a cup of fine black powder, but with a 30' stack I'm always wondewring what's up there.

Got 2 sq. ft of Kaowool, cut two strips 16" x 6", and stuffed them in the pocket created by the siderails. The strips were tall enough to extend a little higher than the sides of the baffle. Can't say I see any difference in my burns, but feel better knowing that it's there and in good shape.
