Hello

Have a friend with a Gnome stove that we cleaned top to bottom.

It still overfeeds pellets. It is 3-4 years old. Any ideas?

Hello Scott

There is one trim pot adjust on the control panel. It work on all heat levels. What should it be set at?
What else effects the timing that can be adjusted?

Manual
Trim Button: On the left side of the control panel
there is a small, round button that will turn
clockwise and counter-clockwise. This button
allows you to control the feed rate in each setting—
Low, Med, and High. By turning the button
clockwise you can increase the feed rate in each
setting. By turning the button counter-clockwise
you can decrease the feed rate.
Move this button carefully! It is designed to finetune
the heater in each position in the event you
change brands of pellets and/or live at a higher
elevation.

Hello

The stove was purchased in August 2009.

Mixed some hardwood pellets with soft wood pellets left over from a couple of years ago.

Readjust the trim pot counter clockwise. Increased the feed rate from "low" to "medium" and since doing this, so far, so good.

Clockwise? If its anything like the Providence Insert (looks like it) then clockwise is actually increasing the feed rate. The feed rates for low, medium and high should be in the manual as well, IIRC its like 2lbs/hr on low 3.5lbs/hr on medium and 5lbs/hr on high.

If the pellets are overfeeding then decreasing the feed rate would stove the overfeeding right?

If I understand the manual correctly, and its the same pretty much as mine, going all the way counter clockwise will have the stove at its default feed rates. Any bit clockwise will increase the feed. If the control board is similar there should be a low fan and high fan pot on the board. I have no experience with them but at least in the Providence manual its mentioned for adjusting the trim rate more than with the main controls.
