I recently came across a Blaze King Princess for sale. Very well price for under $1000. Does not have glass doors but looks in fairly good shape. Going to see if I can see this Blaze King in the next few days. From what I understand these stoves have some fairly good clearances with side and rear shields, and can be alcoved. Has anybody ever alcoved one and does it still product alot of heat to heat your home? What do the cats cost for these wood stoves and what is the life expectancy of them?

thanks for posts.

Without glass it is probably an old stove. Early on, the BKs did NOT have cat converters in them and would not be worth 1000$ at all. You need to verify that this stove even has a converter in order to assess the value.

This is the Blaze King Princess I am currently looking at. Looking to find out if it is just an earlier princess classic model PEJ 1006?? Trying to find the exact clearances on this model and if you can use double wall pipe with the stove. The price that is being offered is $500 for the stove, and blower included. Doesn't appear to be a 6 inch flue but i am not sure. Any information or exact model number would be helpful

thanks

She's an old girl, I would personally pass. Looks like an 8 inch chimney and will be a much greater expense than the stove itself if don't already have it. A few more bucks and you can have an Englander NC30 or similar.
