Got a call on monday because a school dept. wanted a boiler room painted. Went to look at it yesterday andvthis thing was in it. It runs like a pellet stove. It eats 60 tons of wood chips a week. Its all automated with a conveyor belt from the hopper to the boiler. Only collets a trash barrel full of ash a week. Its an impressive set-up.

Sorry for the cockeyed pic. Cant turn the damn thing.

It's a brand new building. Walls are bare Sheetrock and they want the ceiling done. It's 40x30x22 where the boiler is. The room next door is where the hopper is and it's about the same size. I was told yesterday that the school spent 250,000$ in oil last year. This boiler is gonna chew up 75,000$worth of wood chips.

Is that the boiler at Falmouth. I have not been over to see theirs yet, as they just put in a new one. I teach Industrial Technology in Cumberland, Maine. Trying to tell them here about getting this kind of set up but they want natural gas brought to schools instead. They use 160,000 gallons of oil a year.

These things are all over the place here in northern NE - especially public schools. They have the technology pretty well dialed in now. Green chips prevent burn-back, simple stack flow scrubbers keep particulate emissions down, low-cost feed stock.
