While I fixing some fence in the woods today cut I cut a little wood

Gas or diesel?Thanks its a little gas gator. Tough little rig. Whatever I cut really dulled my chain quick. The locust cut pretty easily

Part of the dealio - if you are cutting dead, dying or downed wood you will inevitably run into sections with rot. Depending on the extent I weigh BTU value Vs. effort to obtain and when the scale tilts I start on another tree. If you have limited storage space this will need to be figured into the equasion as well. With nearly unlimited space the lessor stuff just goes into the shoulder season pile or if it is really bad the outside fire pit pile for me. My school of thought is if the saw cut it - I am going to burn it!!
For the record all that you have photographed would belong in the good stuff piles at my house.
