I'm thinking of adding a wireless thermostat for my stove, what all do I need to know, suggestion for brands, etc. Tell me everything that might benefit me. Thank you.

It needs a swing or span setting capability and the receiver portion must act like a millivolt thermostat.

MIght also be useful if it has a reasonable range and be programmable.

Look at the SkyTech line of wireless stats. Lots if us here have them. They have standard stats and also programmable stats.

All have a Swing up to 6* (3* each way from setting --- set at 71*, on at 68*, off at 74*) but can be as low as 2*.

They work well and are back-lit.

I have this:

No complaints at all. When you get it, don't mount it on the wall right off. Move it around to a couple of different spots for a day just to make sure it is going to work where you want it. Mine would not communicate with the stove from around a corner. Had to be in a direct line, but it has a 20-foot range. I am pushing that where I have it mounted, and it is fine.
