Enviro mini anyone?

Not saying that something on the control board isn't adjusted right, but most stoves that build up pellets in the burn pot are dirty inside....especially USED stoves. The reason they're sold used is because the previous owner usually never bothered to clean them, and couldn't figure out why it ran so bad ...."this dam* stove is a piece of crap"

Also, what is your exhaust set-up like?

I have a friend that had a mini and he LOVED it!

How long did your neighbor own it? What exactly did the "cleaning" that you paid for entail?

Just because a Pro did it, doesn't mean they ever seen that model and know where the ash builds up.

The pellets building up is an air flow issue. It takes air to burn the pile. If the stove is dirty and has ash plugging up the works? Then the stove is restricted and can't breathe properly.

Do a search above on "pellet pile up" or "pellets building up" or pellets backing up" or etc....

The end result of almost ALL of those threads is a very good cleaning that involves cleaning the intricate exhaust passages and ash traps.

Welcome to the Forums. Give the manual a good looking over and find where these ash traps are. Then get a good shop vac and ask a lot of questions here. You will be burning in no time.

The control board acts as it should. An increase in heat, means an increase in fuel, and the stove ramps up the room blower to take the heat out. So one button controls it all.

One last thing, where is the damper set? If the damper is closed some, and you building up? Have you tried to open it??

pg 7 of the owners manual has instructions for control board op.... pg 9 explains damper settings.... I have my damper out just over an inch of the rod is showing

Is the Mini the newer (as of about 5-years ago) "Mini-A", or is it the older Mini? We have the newer version, and we have a control to adjust the feed rate of the pellets. Seems like you could try turning the feed rate down a notch.

We also have an option to control the combustion blower. We've fooled with that, but the best results is the factory default of 2 (otherwise, the stove goes out at lower settings. We have a thermostat).

Our air flow rod (on the left) is usually pushed all the way in, or out a quarter inch. We have another option to turn the room fan off and on, but that is a stupid option, because without the room fan on, it doesn't blow heat into the room. If it is accidentally turned off, the stove appears to overheat.
