Love watching the fire and being warm inside, especially today! 10 degrees last night outside, 79 degrees in lower level.
And doing this while paying about a hundred a month for December & January and not the oil company thousands.

Some dummy(meaning me) forgot to fill the hopper this morning before trudging off to work. Come home and the house is chilly(67
). Dumped 2 bags of Cubies in, pushed the go button and she's cruisin on medium heat in no time. House temp is rising 2 an hour. Love the horsepower the beast has when I make an oopsie! Keeps the boss happy if you know what I mean! By the time she got home the house was 69! Whew!
This is just one reason that I love my pellet stove!

I managed to get out of bed this morning (which for a bear of my advanced years and considering it is hibernation season) qualifies as a positive thing (well for me anyway, I didn't say for you).

Nothing like being home when its 8 degrees outside and windy and its 72 in your house and no oil used. Plus i get to see a beautiful fire while i drink a beer (Bud Light or Corona ) and watch NHL hockey Love it O and did i mention NO OIL USED I think i did

My pellet stove loves me, unconditionally, for who I am....not for what she "wants me to be." I treat her well, and feed her only the best. I work her hard in the winter, sometimes much overtime at straight pay, but she also enjoys her summers off. I would like to say that I always treat her well....but sometimes I neglect her, yet she continues to toil along, despite the unseasonably cold weather and poor working conditions. I love my pellet stove, and she loves me.

Man....I know I am going to jinx myself here....Other than the high limit switch crapping out on my at the beginning of last years season, I have had zero, nothing, nada wrong with the stove. It happily converts pellets to heat, just what I bought it for.
Who wants to make a wager what will fail in the next day or so?

I love my "new to me" Fahrenheit furnace. House hasn't dropped below 67 even in this cold snap.
Still have at least 3 tons of pellets in the stash. Although at 2 bags a day the stash will shrink. Supposed to be back in the high 30s next week I guess.
And the oil furnace continues to gather dust and sit unused.
Those are the most positive things I can think of as far as pellet stoves go.

I see you read your manual on stove cleaning tips ," the consumption of beer is Strongly advised ".helps keep the dust down.

Was talking to my wood burning friend on way to work this morning. Aside from the $ we save using wood or pellets....... Are we really comparing apples to apples?
Ever since we installed the new pellet stove 75 is the new 70 in our house. What would the cost difference be if we put it to 75 w/ oil . Yikes

Two years and have not bought any oil or turned the furnace on. Can't get any more positive than that. I also figure I'm saving 4K a year by using pellets. I love saving money.
