Well, I lead blew my stoves today. I already see a difference. Burning North American and I have about 100 degrees hotter stove tonight than I did last night. Had to turn it down a notch.

Normally I run my cpm at about half power. When 25-30 outside, maintaining 70 inside is no problem. Last night it was 8 and 61 inside. Changed a few settings to 4-5-1 and 6-9 and barely holding onto 65 degrees. Stoves are room heaters. My furnace is out of comission so suffering with 65. The real problem is when we used propane, 64 was the normal temp. Englander pellet heat has spoiled us.

Is there any reason that you don't turn the stove up to 7-9 or 8-9? That's where I have to run mine to keep the house warm at these cold temps. Without turning it up to 8-9 it would be 65 in my house too. Granted, I'm also at 2-5-1, but I've still got it turned up pretty hot. I'd rather not have to turn it up that high, but it doesn't get that cold around here very often. Hopefully a bigger stove next time around...

Went out to the shed and grabbed 2 bags of "Sets"... barely 70 running all last night on Barefoots. Just cleaned out a mixture of BF and Stove Chow I was running during the day and now running 100% "Sets".... nice to have weather that counts for beta testing..... Update...this just in... 72 degrees!
It's true what they say about "Sets"... It's true! It's true! :ZZZ

Nothing different tonight. Currently 9 degrees outside. Last night outside was 0 when I went to sleep at midnight
with stove on #3 and La Crete in the hole keeping the place at 75/72/69 with the cooler
temp being the master bedroom which nobody is sleeping in.

Nothing different here. Its 17 now and its supposed to go down to the single digits overnight. Sommersets already in the hopper.

A good cleaning and I addressed a slight door gasket leak I discovered the other day. A hopper full of Barefoots and she is roaring away!!!!!

Nothing different here. When the outside temps hit the teens, I bumped the Bosca up to level 3 and its been 70-72 degrees overnight inside the areas closest to the stove. The areas farther away from the stove may have dipped to 68 overnight, but they rebound quickly in the morning.

Nuttin honey, we be toasty here.

I still say more is better! ::-)

Yep... Nothin different. Just burning :)

Seems like I got mine to match the heat loss pretty good. Running on low with the feed gate open just enough to maintain 73. Takes it a while to get the circulation pattern to heat the upstairs properly but when it running at a steady rate like it is now its perfect. Not cycling on and off has kept a much more even temperature.

The CB 1200 on Low, is a HEAT MONSTER!!! I love it. Some seriously hot air comes from this stove on low. There are some that do better, but not many..... I have owned, installed, and maintain quite a few other stoves (family and friends) and running on a low setting, it's hard to beat it. (Mine is sitting dormant. Furnace is running) :)

apparently it's not going to make it to the forecast -15 tonight.
i was ready though.
*takes foot off the pedal.*

The night before last, my little 25 PVDC could not hold up with the cold, even with it on heat 9, got up to find the house at 62F. Last night I cleaned the stove out and changed the 'mode' from 'd' to 'c'. Now it's ripping, stove is on 6 heat, blower 9 -- the 3 lower buttons set to 6-4-1. House this morning as I type this out is at 76F.

Oh, and I'm burning Maine's Choice Wood Pellets too (the ones that come in the green and tan bag).

I switched it up good last night and WOW!...What a difference. Usually, I have a razor knife on the shelf near the pellet stove to cut open the bags. Last night it wasn't there, so I opened my pellets with a steak knife from the kitchen. Got up this morning and its still mid 70's in the house. Couldn't believe it...Wow!!....Long live the steak knife!

I thought I was the only one up at this hour!!!

Been using a steak knife for 17 years.....it doesn't cut steak anymore....;)

Problems here.....same old crap with the convection blower being undersized for this unit. Third time the hopper high temp limit switch has shutdown in 3 days since using the Hamers, flashing code 4. Last year it did it on Heat Level 4 out of 5. This year it has been on Heat Level 3 but overnight last night on Heat Level 2! I think it happens when the hopper becomes less full and there isn't the pellet buffer to the sensor. I refuse to use the damn adjustable plate given to me last year because I don't believe it to be the proper fix and don't think I should be adjusting the damn plate auger plate every time I change pellets!! Besides, alls you are doing is cutting down on the available heat that could be produced anyway. Currently working with my dealer to replace the current convection blower with the new turbo model...we'll see how that goes....whole nother topic altogether.

Anyway, to answer your question P38X2; tonight I will be adjusting the trim levels (pellet feed to 1, combustion air to max (4?) and leaving the stove stoked on HL 2, and keep the dino juice thermostat a little higher in case it shuts down during the night.

You need to upgrade to the turbo blower. I changed mine out in November and it made a big difference in how the house is being kept up to temp. The new blower is a little bit noisier once you get it above heat level 2 but otherwise still no issues with watching TV in the same room. My blower started to make a slight "rubbing" noise so I called my stove shop and they were happy to swap it out for me. If you are still under warranty you should call your stove shop and tell them you are having issues and get it changed out.

I turned the beast up to 4 but it got to hot so back to 3 by hot i:ZZZ mean 84 in the main room and 77 in the living room almost got the beach stuff out lol

I have a Harman Invincible burning Somersets, dumping in another bag, about all it takes around here

Nothing different. Just keep feedin her.

The only thing different is the babies, my two stoves, want to feed and burped more often. I am up to about 4 bags a day. Temporary though, the prediction is to go back to high 30's by the weekend.

Well, it wasn't as cold here as it was yesterday. Temp is currently -1 and I have 71 down and 67 up. I'm extremely happy to have not had a repeat of the prior night. My stove has been battling back on high since early yesterday am and seems to have won the battle. The larger fan I used could have been a factor. The heat downstairs was def more even throughout the rooms and the softies burned great.

I think the issue from the night before was the stove was caught off guard. In room temp it was doing its thing and the temps dropped to quickly and it never really got the chance to recover. With the temps dropping as fast and as low as the did, the stove was simply too small to handle it. Yesterday AM, I maxed out the temp dial and ran her full tilt all day. At bedtime the stat read 73 so I knew I had a good head of steam going and in the end, it worked out.

This situation also reminded me that I'm stuck in "room temp mode" in my head. It has always worked for me. I knew the stove would really be tested during these few days but never thought about flooring her early to build up some heat momentum. Duh! Lesson learned.

i threw in the towel and the dino furnace is helping out....my undersized stove is munching away the cubies just like pacman! good thing the kids are away at university, lots of doors are cracked opened, hehe! if you guys had to put up with my temperatures hovering around -10F to -36F you be in the same boat(sinking ship) as me, just saying!

I left my oil burner t-stats at 64 all night instead of the usual 58 (as back up in case). And i listened to the furnace run all night.

Who ever said their stove was loud got too used to not hearing their oil pig....

hopefully thats it for tonight.... warmer air heading in with the snow.
