Are you running in manuel mode or auto? When its cold out auto with a thermostat cycle's very quickly. So just running in manuel and trying to figure how cold it will be outside during the day to keep the house ok with no one home, but a dog and cat. I hear harmons have a lot more features for the thermo option, Hi-lo or something like that. Running on number 3 last night and today and the temp is in 70's. Stove Chow, Fireside ultra's.

Thats a question a struggle with... I usually keep it on auto when Im not home I set it to 60 and keep the heat temp usually low but in this weather i bump it up to the first medium... Im sure it cycles to much... but i never know which is better.. leaving it on all day.. or have it on sporadically

It's too bad they didn't put more thought it the circuit board and put a hi low setting or maintenance burn option.

Yes, as a matter a fact i rarely clean the glass anymore... usually when i do a good cleaning I will wipe it down.. but with in a few hours its a mess again

After allmost a month my dealer finally has my new room blower in i have to get it tommorow. It makes noise from day one.looks like i have to turn the furnace on for a while. Haha.

The last few days I've been burning on 4 or 3 and the glass is alot cleaner the more heat helps. What do u put your draft control on if your on like 3?

Usually between 2 and 3.. last couple days its been so cold i have had my heat settings up so i bump the draft up... My friend just got the new avalon stove and he thinks i always have my draft set to high... my dealer told me to keep my flame like a blow torch and the coals moving, his dealer told him to keep the draft low so you can see more flame.. when he comes over he turns my draft down and my flame is orange and lazy... different strokes for different folks

Ya right but i think ur right thats how i run mine.I emailed the dealer about the air wash system'didnt have much info but said give it more air. When i am on setting 3 I have my draft on 4.

That seems reasonable to me... do you have a OAK hooked up?

No they said no need and the manuel also.I know every one here swears on them but,IDK it runs fine, dont fix it if it aint broke. Do you? I guess you and I are the only two onwers of Avalons. Haha.

I didn't have one... but after reading about the benefits i put one in this year.. I can tell a difference as far as the glass is dirty but not as black and sooty as before... I also think the stove runs cleaner in general... but its subject and open to perception...
