I have used the same amount in the past 5 days as I did the previous three weeks. Here are my totals so far. Cubix definitely warmer. Green teams produced less ash. I am only running my stove at 60 percent. Now that I have my air wash fixed, I am very content. Going out to buy some more cheap pellets tonight. Only have 15 bags.. figure I need another 15 to get me to May.

I'm using 1.5 bags or so per day, maybe a bit more. Each bag is lasting more than 12, but less than 18, hours...

Almost 3 bags a day. Each bag is gone in 9 hours.

Might be able to turn it down a bit, if the sun'll come out tomorrow.

I bust my ass the few nickels that I have and there is no way I'm gunna be cold. If it's three bags, so be it, four bags....whatever...I'll just keep throwing them in.

X2. Running 2 stoves. I ain't counting, just feeding. I'll figure it all out when it gets warm.

im burning 0 as today, i ran out of pellets :(

buying more tomorrow ==c

What????

You are hereby relived of your pellet burner's license and must take a refresher course on proper fuel supply planing before it is reinstated.

The current class is being conducted by your local pellet pigs and I predict a very difficult time will be had by you.

1 bag of pellets equals 3 gallons of oil? Is that true? I always thought it was like 2.25 or something like that. Guess it depends on the pellet.....

Doing 2 bags a day of hamer's in this cold snap, the pdvc is struggling to keep the first floor at 71 second floor at 64 ,12deg outside now, switching back to cheat river on Monday when the 45 deg heatwave hits for the week.

All week long I ran the p61A on Greene Teams and Fireside Ultra's. Yesterday I actually turned it down form stove temp 4-5.5 feed 4 and was using a bag every 12-14 hours. to stove temp 3-4 and feed 3-3.5 , threw in 40 lbs of the stove Stove Chows and ran out at 5 am today. 40 lbs in under 10 hrs on a lower setting??? I think I have one more bag left of that i will use in May

burning about 1.5 to 2 bags a day during this cold snap, i'd rather count the full bags in the garage, empty bags get used for garbage

Been burning 1.75 bags per day. Looks like bag to one bag a day once low temps are above 0F!!

2 bags a day. all day everyday. its cold here. maybe more if colder. so lets say 16 bags for the week.

2 bags a day here. I switched over to 2 year old Somersets. Wow, what a difference in ash compared to this years, although the heat seams to be about the same at least.

Had the same problem with stove chow they look to be smaller When I fill the hopper with them there is more room and I am thinking since they are smaller more pellets are fed into the burn pot at each turn of the auger

It don't matter how many bags I burn, as long as we are warm and the oil burner stays quiet. Down to 33 bags VWP, OMG need more soon

I got that from somewhere...I might have to do some more research.

I got that from somewhere...I might have to do some more research.

According to the Forest Products Laboratory, #2 Fuel Oil has a Net Heating Value of 115,000 Btu/gal and Premium Wood Pellets have a Net Heating Value of 13.6 million Btu/ton. Btu is a unit of energy to describe the heat value of fuels.
From an energy standpoint it would take 118.26 gallons of #2 Fuel Oil to provide the same heating energy as one ton of Premium Wood Pellets.
118.26 gal of fuel oil x 115,000 Btu/gal = 13.6 million Btu = one ton of wood pellets
At 50 bags per ton, this equates to 2.36 gallons per bag of wood pellets.
