I will be installing a new stove ,in the next few weeks , After talking to my sales rep he believes we have can make it work , here is the issue . I will have to go out the home with one 90 or 2 45% . Then i have to 90% over and follow the concrete wall horizontal 14 feet and then 90 up and then another 14 feet to code height i know i need atleast 2 or 3% pitch up on the horizontal run .. So the ? for you guy and gals is is there going to be a issue with the amount of linear feet . and with the bends can i get proper draft . The stove im looking at is the enerzone 3.4. The sales rep says we can make it work .Just looking to see what you think or experts here know .. Thanks

14 ft of horizontal = No.

Why can't you go straight up? (Either outside or inside the envelope of the home)?

I have a deck that runs the 20 plus feet across the back of the home . And cant go straight up i would run between the living room and dining room .. What is the most i can run Horizontal ? And what is the reason behind not being able to run it that far ? Bad draft ?

Everything i read says as long as i have alot of upward pitch i shouldnt have a problem . Really dont have much other options . i may be able to only use the first 90% out of the house and then 2 45% to go upward . Ugghhh this is a pain do to the deck , The shortest route is around 11ft the other way but then it have a additonal bend in it to get around the gutter .. So i would save 3 ft ,

We had the same problem as you with the deck on the back wall. Everyone kept telling the wife to put it in the basement it will be to smokey in the upstairs. Well after two years of arguing we went and installed in the living/family room and couldn't be happier. My biggest concern was the amount of horizontal piping to make it work. Yes it may be possible but.... What happens if it doesn't work then what? Is the sales man only wanting to sell? I would talk to the manufacture before I go with any horizontal at that run.
