LOL - here in Medford, Long Island we got a good amount of snow. I didn't measure it, but suffice to say, 'good amount'. They still haven't plowed my street, and its going to be a PITA to get to my stacks.

While digging paths across our patio so our 11lb pooch could relieve herself, we managed to bury the ash can. Enough snow fell to cover it, but we REALLY covered it! Closed my eyes, thought about it for a second, and plunged the snow shovel into a pile. Nailed it!

Yeah, getting to the stacks is what I'm thinking about. My deck holder was loaded a couple days ago, but not much anymore. Can't use my wheel barrow over the snow, which in parts is up to my knees. Guess I'll have to hump it up to the deck one bagful at a time. Got 1/2 cord right next to the deck, but that is the kiln dried and I was saving that. Might just have to burn that first, though.
 
LOL, sounds like a treasure hunt. It's good that you have a sense of humor about the big snow.

Maybe a few have to use metal detectors to find their's? ;lol
 
No I haven't Pete. Haven't went back yet as the body is rebelling a bit today. They won't go far.....I hope.
 
Reminds me....I was trying out a friend's Stihl 028 prior to purchase. Looked down to see that one of the big bar nuts had fallen into the leaves...somewhere. Out came my daughter's detector..success after 10minutes!
 
Found my ash can . . . but the darn ash can lid blew away to who knows where . . . I've gone out a few times now poking arounnd in snow ranging from a few inches to drifts about 4 1/2 feet tall . . . at this point I am thinking I may find it in the Spring.

Got an area for Codi (Yorkie) to do what he does best.....a trail to his favorite fence post......and a path to the stacks

Who needs the ash can? You could throw 'em anywhere; It's not like you're going to start a fire out there. ==c
