NEED ADVICE PLEASE

Do you have a floor plan you can post?

Normal procedure is start the cold air moving down low and slow towards the stove from a room other than the stove room. However there may be little heat to move if it is being lost through those walls.

put a box fan in the doorway into the stove room. i angle mine down (lean it on the door jamb)
but whatever works. as you blow cool air into the room low, the hot air will be pushed out high.
try it for just a minute and you'll feel the air rushing out.

some layouts allow you to do this same thing from further away (like blowing cold air from the room you need heated)
my layout prevents this. but i have vornados up in the door arch of the stove room and in the arch between the kitchen and dining room blowing back to the cul de sac that is our back bedroom.

i hadn't used the box fan pointing into the stove room till it got really cold this year. it works a treat. and the hot air it pushes out is grabbed by the vornadoes giving me really good control of heating the hard to heat back bedroom.

box fans pushing hot air away from the stove can easily block the return of cold air from your cold room.
the vornadoes mounted high keep the lower air path clear to allow cold return towards the stove room

What works for me is put box fans on the floor blowing out of the cold room toward the room that has the pellet stove. It sounds like that wouldn't work, but it makes a 4 to 5 degree difference in my house. I wouldn't start putting fans in the walls. Don't try and blow hot air into a cold room, doesn't work as well.

yeah. blow the cold air out of those rooms low and the hot air will rush in high to replace it.

i use a combination of vornadoes up high pushing heat (they focus the air so as to keep the convection loop going.) but the cold air from the cold rooms needs to be allowed to return.

i would guess just from your description that you could get good results just blowing the cold air out low. the hot air should flow into the cold rooms on it's own. if you find it needs more help, then maybe try mount fans high.


i absolutely had to do it that way. but lots of folks only need the low blowing cold fan

rotflmao...(rolling on the floor laughing my ass off) cap lock broke??? reminds me of a fella trying to sell my mom a computer...he said "works great...except the T key dosent work" For some silly reason its offensive to use cap's ...some say its yelling. I'm not sure why but that post bothered me just a lil bit...I feel silly. dont get mad or frustrated...and screw anyone who corrects your spelling too. Its obvious you are new to computers too. keep trying!! you will get better. and please don't be offended by my post. also leave a space between sentinces(spelled wrong...phuque eue eue...I mean you spell checkers)

now as for your problem....if its an open floor plan use fans...high fans away from stove...low fans toward stove...as for bed rooms...a box fan will work wonders...hang it high and blow heat in... or on the floor and blow cold out...

Also this forum is one of the best forums I am a member of. absolutly a TON of info here...CT pellet is one of the many good guys... and most likely sent you an e-mail to save any embarresment you might feel becaus you are new to this. as for punctuation...read your post befor you post it...and put three dots anywhere.... so it dosent all run together...

John, sorry if I pyo by suggesting for the caps to be turned off. It was meant to help and not to be snotty. A lot of people will not answer a post done in all caps hence you seeing 84 people looking and no responses. I see your caps button has been fixed. If it breaks again say so.

Based on your reply you would of preferred no answer at all I guess. I'll leave it at that.
