Enlgander 25-PDV - Blowing cold, small flame, slow feed

Hi All!

I've read through tons of post, spoke to Customer Service, but still looking for advice...

Enlgander 25-PDV manf 2008
Stove has always been run on settings 1 (feed) 9 ( blower) and worked pretty well. Since we lost power in the storm last week it's been running horrible. (lost power again yesterday)
Small flame, feeding but not like it had before. We've had some issues with the auger motors in the past getting stuck. pretty much rebuild, but not totally replaced yet. Have two new motors on the way, but not even sure if that's the problem. They are both turning as they should be.
It isn't shutting down right now, but flame is so small and almost out and then starts back again. (has in the last week when flame goes out too long as it should)
It's feeding, just not as much. Even when I turn the feed rate up, doesn't seem to get much better.

This morning I spoke to Customer Service.... checked the settings which were at 6,4,1 as they said they should be.
Also did a factory reset to see if that would help.
Started off strong at start up - now we are back to same problems.
Small flame.... blowing strong but cool air, top of stove isn't even getting hot to touch.

I'm freezing!! Any ideas? Help please!

Thanks for responding.... same settings as before, no change in pellets, and no surge protector
What settings do you run in really cold temps?

And customer service said it may be the control board itself?

Can I ask how long a bag of pellets if lasting you at those settings? We go through a bag every 12 hrs are setting 1/9

A bag every 12 hours at 1-9 doesn't seem right. Are you sure the thermal sensor wire is connected or not broken? Is the exhaust pipe very hot? You might want to try lowering the LBA to 3......that might help keep some of the heat in the stove longer.

Last time the stove was taken apart & completely cleaned? You bought the stove new?

Yeah and honestly ... "working good" since we've owned it still doesn't mean Ive always been happy with the temp in the house.
I'll check into the thermal sensor wire....
Exhausted pipe is warm.. not super hot

Stove is completely cleaned after season, and before use. Auger motors have just been cleaned and taken apart, and all other parts just cleaned as well.
Currently running at settings 5/6 for an 40 minutes and flame is still small, and blower working great but only slightly warm air.

What do you mean by "mode" ?

Oh OK.... I believe it was C... We checked on the phone with Englander.... and they said it was correct at whatever setting it was

It's on my main living floor in dining room/ open kitchen area

Good Idea! Hopefully I can take advantage of that when I get it working right again!! It tends to get really warm right in my dining room/ kitchen but then very chilly in other areas... that's why we don't crank to high (plus the hubby thinks 52 in the house is just fine... ;O

Right now... it's set to 7 and 9 and not doing a darn thing!! Small flame... nothing but slight warm air coming out

As for my settings, I don't have the same stove, but i was running 5-6 last night during the cold & wind. Highest I've had it at this winter was 7-7 during that real cold week we had a while ago.


Bottom line.....more pellets =more BTU's output.

How can I be sure it is the board? Or do you just try and replace and hope that works? LOL

Bottom 3 set to 6,4,1
Flames are yellow

Just found a tube that was cracked.... we'll see if that might be the issue!!
