A little break in the snow so I took a couple of pics out the back door. The wind is starting to blow and more snow coming.

The stacks and the wood shed

The afters are always interesting :)

We still have a foot on the ground

Your storm is coming to us as rain.

I'm very happy about this, I'll finally be able to get to the back wood stacks !!

Glad you put this in a new thread. Nice looking backyard. Very impressive stacks of wood. Our last weekend storm had so much wind that blew the snow right out of our yard. (51 mph) Unless you have a sled, I hope you do't have to dig out. It is never ending and you run out of places to put it. I once had to hire a front end loader to come in and dig us out to and to have a place for future storms. After storm pics would be nice!

No offense but better you than me. It will be here tomorrow night as snow, into Saturday but it will turn to rain. I have folks that work for me in Iowa and they were bracing for the storm too.

Be safe! They were talking about record snow fall in the Chicago area.

Freezing rain is the worst. Prolonged power outages, no running water. Battery powered devices only. Cold food. Limbs down everywhere. Dead end road impassable. Yes, freezing rain is the worst!

I hate freezing rain!! Wish we'd get snow, bit it don't gonna happen......
I hope you are right Scotty. My new fire truck is in Long Island NY for a vendor show this weekend. Then it heads to me. Hope the weather doesn't hold it up.

Predictions all over the place, but current one for southern and central Maine is "around" 6 inches. Legnth of the dollar bill. They are not predicting the wind as we have had in the past few storm. I am hoping this isn't wet stuff. If I am slow to get that stuff out of the yard, it turns into a big block of ice and won't be moved by anthing until the sun beats on for a while.

2.5" here last night.
Got a few of these 2 to 3" snow falls this month.
Just enough to need to plow & clean up decks & walk areas.
To be mostly sunny today.

How many hours of sunlight to you get now? Funny, my impression of living in Alaska is to have -50 F, darkness day and night and having tunnels dug to get to your front door! I know others have some some bad ones of Maine also, like there is a bear behind every tree. Not ture, it's every other tree! Not so bad.
