I installed a GBU 070 this fall, couldnt be happier that my house is warmer than it has been since I owned it.

I have been doing some informal experiments with the settings, and dont know how to tune the settings to be the most efficient

The burn cycle can be set at 8 minutes or 15 minutes (I beleive that 8 minutes = 1 minute on, 7 minutes off -- vs 15 minutes which is 2 min on and 13 min off -- at least that's what I get from the manual) . Would one make a difference over the other?

Also the pilot draft fan has settings for off/med/hi what difference do any of these settings make? Ive been pretty much been running it on Med.

Thanks in advance...

I have the same unit. I use a high draft setting during times when the furnace is not working hard (When outside temperatures are above freezing). It seems to keep the unit from blowing off fire pot heat too much. Its a little less efficient on pellets but its better for the fire pot. I keep the cycle time on the shorter settings as well for the same reason.
