Welcome!

Burn smaller fires and it does just fine. I can get mine to peak @ about 450 stovetop and it will taper off gently for hours afterwards. I heat 1300sq ft with it (moderately insulated) and 1 fire a day in the shoulder season does just fine.

Although I have burnt wood most of my life there is nothing usual about my house 2600 feet concept floor steal construction and single wall no insulation but I live in volcano Hawaii 2700 ft elevation never seen it get under 48 digress

The main thing will be to have plenty of flue height for adequate draft in mild temps. 16ft straight up would be the normal minimum, but I would go for 20+ if possible.

Thanks for the information i half to go up about 25 feet I was worried it might be to Mutch had plans to put in a damper l have a concrete floor thinking about pouting it directly on it without the bottom heat heatshield to help heat the floor

In your mild 25ft could be fine without a damper. I would hold off, you can add one later if needed.
