Previous stove had some issues that the Regency tech couldn't figure out so they have em a new stove. I got to swap it out, thought it looked sweet on this fieldstone hearth so I snapped a photo. image.jpg

I really love that hearth

Like the stove with the stone... nice

Hi Scott

What were the issues? Did you get a free stove out of it?

omg, that stove is beautiful, awesome, incredible, breath taking... oh wait.. I have one just like it.. hahaha. I love that stove... I am very happy with my GC60. With this mild weather I am burning less than a bag a day and my house is a steady 70.. cant beat it... I have been playing around with the modes and am really liking the on/off mode. Stove some on when thermostat trips and burns on level 3 until thermostat temp is reached.. then the stove shuts off and it is really working well. I just hope that this mode is not taxing the igniter.. time will tell... enjoy your stove and hope you have the same success...

Looks famillar scott! I love the stone that is beautiful. Just out of curiosity since I own the same stove, what type of problem was the homeowners having with the stove.

I think the ash pan assembly was bent and leaking in air...perhaps a stove that was dropped during the first install or in transit. That was the only think I could fine...perhaps human error too...I don't really know, they just asked me to do the swap.

Who paid the labor for the swap? Did they pay much?

Oh ok, thanks scott!

Regency is paying me some and the dealer is paying the rest....question is, how much do I charge for this?

Swapping out a stove does not have the work of the venting install. However like an install it takes time to transport the two stoves and do all the work of setting up the new stove, connecting it to the venting and testing it out for the customer. Also, just like a new stove you have to check all the clearances and make sure the original install was correct and make any adjustments as needed. Then like an older install, you have to check and clean the venting so when you do start the stove it will be a fresh start! I would say that is more work and knowledge than a normal service call and maybe a little less work that a brand new install, so the charge should be in between or maybe just a little less than a new install. When they want the job done right by a professional they expect to pay the price!

It's more work than a regular install but you cannot charge enough and get it

Nice install. Almost purchased that same stove.
