The bearings are going in the old Mt Vernon so time for a replacement.

Where's a good source for a new motor/impeller minus the entire housing?

It is a speacialty motor. I would doubt you can find a aftermarket? Probably have to go to a dealer.

Had correspondence with that seller and he suggests this one instead:

http://heiligkuh.com/bbandp/product_info.php/cPath/22_24/products_id/46

He says the PSC motor doesn't play well with Quadrafire controllers and that the C-Frame is closer to the original manufacturer specs.

The one I removed is not a C-Frame motor. I bought the stove used in December and the owner said the combustion blower was replaced with original OEM and used for one season. The stove had sat unused for a couple of years, however, before I purchased it. Maybe humidity and such had it's way with those bearings?

Any reason the C-Frame motor wouldn't work? Dimensionally it all seems the same. The only thing spec wise different is the amps. The one I took out is 1.8 amps and the possible replacement is 1.2 amps. Is this alright?

call Mckinney Electric in Holyoke MA and ask for Dave or Nora....good folks.....

They went from the old motor to the C-frame in use currently.

Those are both pretty cheap. If the amps match up and its the larger Mt. Vernon motor (7" diameter plate?) Then I say Jump.

The one I took out, which appears to be OEM, is 1.8 amps. The C-frame replacement is 1.2 amps.

I don't know how much that matters, but I've got one coming.
